Two-tone lithograph: black on a blue-gray background
Artist: Georges Braque (1862-1963)
French painter, graphic artist and sculptor. After an early phase of the Fauvist style, he was co-founder of Cubism with Pablo Picasso.
Date: 1940s
The motif Helios was repeatedly executed by Braque in the 1940s in different color combinations. No 9 and No 10 were the first (monochrome) designs. Later ones were more colorful. Helios No 9 was produced with an edition of 30 pieces.

The print is signed.
The provenience is not clear. A test for authenticity was not carried out. The sheet has some dirt deposits.
