The lacquer miniatures are traditional Russian lacquer miniature paintings with oil paints on black lacquer caskets made of papier-mâché. The miniatures are painted in the typical style of Russian folk art. Fedoskino miniatures are named after their original place of origin, Fedoskino.
The tins and boxes vary in quality, state of preservation, dating and place of origin. All are signed.
