Ruins garden Berlin Mitte Elb Sandstone
No. 14089
Description
Design your own ruin garden with these decorative facade elements. The sandstone components come from about 8 different buildings from Baroque to Art Nouveau.
The position consists of 38 elements of different dimensions.
Some of the objects, such as the columns, come from the historic area of Berlin's Wilhelmstraße / Voßstraße.
Since the middle of the 18th century, impressive buildings have dominated this area. With the extension of the Friedrichstadt the Palais Marshal and in the south the building of the gold and silver manufactory were the first impressive buildings. After division of the plots, the Voßstraße was established. So that in addition to government buildings and representative townhouses of the northern ministerial gardens also some richly decorated houses emerged. Later, the entire complex was used together with the new extension as Ministry of Transport. As an important location of the National Socialists, almost all buildings were severely destroyed by the effects of the war. What remained was subsequently eliminated into the yardhole of Hotel KAISERHOF where we rescued it.
