It is a preliminary design of a sandstone monument by Feliks Dzierzynski. The original, in its version with differing details on the preliminary design, was erected in 1983 on the grounds of the Berlin district administration of the Ministry for State Security in Berlin-Friedrichsfelde. Today it is in the exhibition "Unveiled Berlin and its monuments" in the Providence House of the Citadel in Berlin-Spandau. Feliks Dzierzynski was the founder of the Soviet secret service Cheka, later KGB.
At exposed areas are minor repulsions, especially in the area of the cap.
