Description

The dining group consists of an oval table and 6 matching chairs. All furnitures are black. The handmade set belonged to a family living in Asia and South Africa. The carvings in the backrests were individually assigned to each family member.

The table is decorated with inlaid brass bands both on the top and on the base. A rounded brass strip runs along the outer edge of the tabletop. Brass inlays are partially detached, they are enclosed loose. The tabletop is mounted on a central table leg, which ends at the bottom in four feet mounted on brass rollers. For stability, the table leg has recently been reinforced with screws. The table top shows signs of use.
