Description

The chandeliers come from a dining room of the University of Halle/ Saale.
Dating mid 1950s.

There are two different models, which differ slightly in dimensions and material. Likewise, the glass goblets are in two different types, which differ slightly in shape and size.

Chandelier model I
Height: 1.50 m
Diameter: about 92 cm (without glass goblets)
Diameter of individual tubes: 20 mm
Quantity: 6
Materials:
Brass, the tubes are made of a non-ferrous metal, brass color coated, sockets made of bakelite, role suspension ceramics.

Chandelier model II
Height: 1,30 m
diameter: about 92 cm (without glass goblets)
diameter of individual tubes: 17 mm
Quantity: 5
Materials:
Brass, the tubes are made of iron, originally brass color coated but surface corrosion, Bakelite sockets.

Glass goblet type A
Straight cylindrical
Height: 34 cm
Diameter: 17,5 cm
Quantity: 4 x set of 10

Glass goblet type B
Goblet shaped
Height: 25,5 cm
Diameter: 18 cm
Quantity: 7 x set of 10

Glass inserts milk glass
Goblet-shaped.
Shades of white vary as some specimens have yellowed more over the course of use.

The two chandelier models can be combined differently with the different glass goblets.

The functionality has not been tested. A check of the cables and if necessary a new electrification is recommended.
